You will learn how to:
Identify the needs of your client so that you can prepare a Scope of Service
Identify the tasks involved in relocating a company and determine who is responsible for each task
Save your client thousands of dollars of nonproductive down-time before and after the move
Prepare a Scope of Services so that the movers service reflects what was promised in the bid
Minimize the risk of damage to furniture, computers, paintings and glass tops
Minimize the risk of damage to walls, carpet, doors and elevators
Ensure the mover furnishes enough equipment (dollies, carts, etc.) for the job
Analyze the bids and make recommendations for selecting a mover
Coordinate and sequence vendor services so that they dont interfere with each others schedules
Communicate with property and building managers to reserve elevators, loading docks and loading areas
Ensure that your client is 100% ready when the move crews arrive (to reduce the risk of change orders and subsequent higher costs)
Supervise and control the moving crew to increase the odds of the move finishing on time for the price quoted
Set up controls and measures for auditing moving bills
Certification Requirements: To receive Certified Project Manager® certification, students must successfully complete an 8-hour training program
